We are a small school with dedicated, qualified and punctual teachers who seek to offer the best knowledge of the language struction and show the cultural appreciation of its people. We are a team of teachers interested and committed in teaching. Completely passionate about the profession, we are here to offer the best. At Oaks Language School you can learn and understand, in addition to the spoken language of daily life, – small texts, literature, chronicles, news, advertisements, and more.

Our Mission

Oak Language School aims to help students become familiar with program content as well as apply that learning in their daily lives.

We aim to teach meticulously, preparing the student for life. We hope that profound changes will take place in his/her reality. Without leaving aside some characteristics of traditional teaching, Oak Language School is open to accepting the challenges of the new generation and  the changes in the new virtual reality. And with that, the school believes that online education will serve to unite people from all over the world, in the same virtual environment, developing the ability to understand the thoughts of others with more empathy and a better understanding of other people’s cultures.

To develop language proficiency, cultural, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical aspects will be considered and emphasized.

The school seeks to maximize individual potential, encouraging critical and creative thinking. The highly qualified team is committed to enabling students to speak, understand life, and solve real situations in the personal, interpersonal, social, and professional spheres.

Our Team

Patrícia

Patrícia Nunes Souto
Bachelor’s degree Language Arts Licentiate - Portuguese and English from the Bahia’s University of Technology and Sciences. Patricia is attentive, outgoing, and communicative. She has a great group performance with an extensive community service curriculum provided to children, teenagers, and adults through dynamic classes and interactive activities appropriate to each age group.

Karen

Karen
Karen has a Bachelor’s degree in Language Arts from Universidade Paulista (UNIP). Portuguese teacher with a focus on Literature, Grammar and Writing. Worked for 16 years in a private school and have been working for 15 years as a Portuguese language teacher and Language Area Coordinator at the Public School. Karen also graduated in Literature and Portuguese Language from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and she has a degree in education from (Universidade Metropolitana de Santos (UNIMES), Karen likes to communicate, learn new things and especially being among family and friends. Karen enjoys communicating, learning new things and mainly spending time with family and friends.

Reinaldo

Bio
Education: Licensed and bachelor’s degree in PE (Physical Education) at Pontifícia Catholic University of Campinas, São Paulo BR (2006), Master’s degree in “Adapted physical education and Health” at Gama Filho University, São Paulo BR (UGF); Has a second bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy at Wenceslau Brás University of Paraná BR (EAD) (2016). Professional experience: Taught extracurricular sports to children and teenagers from 2003-2011. In 2014 became pedagogical coordinator of Education for teens and adults the Sao Paulo State Government, until 2017 when he became educational vice director the Sao Paulo State Government. Personal experiences: Taking advantage of the experiences acquired over the years dedicated to Education, in helping to train young people of all ages, allowing them to develop the main characteristics of education: mobilizing citizenship, criticality, ethics and morality. With transforming power, for a better world.

Majô

Majô
Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy with specialization in Education and Communication for the deaf, at Metropolitan College Unidas/SP. Master’s degree in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), and educational neuropsychology. Currently working on a new degree in information management at UFPR, aiming at technological projects for the education area.

Lucilene Reducino
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Licenciature at Faculdades Anhanguera, Campinas, São Paulo Brasil. (2012); Specialized in university extensions “Formation of teachers with the commitment for alphabetization in the right age”. Education Ministry. UNESP University of Philosophy and Science Campus Marilia. São Paulo. Brazil (2015); Certified in Actualization in Mathematics didactics: Elementary school – Initial years module I. EFAPE São Paulo, Brasil (2017). Actualization course “Project EMAI – Mathematics education on initial years”. EFAPE São Paulo, Brazil (2017).

Gabriela

Gabriela de Castro Deus
Approved by the WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment) in English with the highest score and currently studying communications at SLCC. Gabriela graduated high school with an advanced diploma, an enhanced in world language after passing the AAPPL (Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages) in Portuguese and Spanish. Leaning languages is one of her passions and favorite hobbies, Italian is the chosen one at the moment. Some other interests include outdoor activities like hiking, long walks, camping and biking.

Marcelo

Marcelo
Teacher of Spanish and English specialized in Phonetics and Phonology at INSP Joaquín V. González. Teaching ESL and EFL for over twenty years, also Español como Lengua Extranjera for a decade. Has worked in Teacher Training and Pedagogical Coordination both in Brazil and Argentina, his homeland. An avid learner of languages, he has been engaged in the design of materials for better pedagogical progression and student approach for years. An independent writer, he has had work published in Spanish and Portuguese and has also translated several academic papers and a whole study program for the teaching of Hebrew to Brazilian learners at schools. When he is not teaching, planning or writing, he is in the kitchen trying out world dishes and seasonings and cooking for himself and friends -and has his own line of savory patisserie for Omnis, veggies and vegans, Avadapalabra.

Alexandre

Alexandre Silva Tavares
I'm a college student and trainee at ExxonMobil. I speak three languages: Portuguese and Spanish (fluent) and English (Advanced). I lived 2 years in Argentina. I have a certificate at Brigham Young University Idaho - Pathway Connect (English, Life Skills and Math). I've been a teacher since young, and nowadays I teach English to Brazilian Beginners, Spanish at "Instituto de Religião Portão" and I speak English/Spanish every day at work with teams located in Houston and Mexico. I love to connect with my students so that I can understand their necessities and prepare my classes based on that so that everyone can learn by their own speed. Personal Interests: I love music, I play the piano and the guitar. I also love to read, watch movies and sports. One of my favorite things is to travel and get to know different places and cultures.

Lara

Lara Mantovani
My name is Lara Mantovani and I have a degree in Language and Arts from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). During college, I researched multiliteracies, hypermedia, and teaching. I am currently a professor of Portuguese and writing practices and I am studying Linguistics at the same institution. I live in Socorro, São Paulo, Brazil and I really enjoy reading outdoors, learning about new things and cultures and going to the theater!

Psychologist Beatriz

Beatriz
Beatriz is a psychologist graduated from the Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” – UNESP, she got her degree in 2017. She is currently working on Schizoanalysis training at the Nômade School of Philosophy and Philosophy and at UNESP University as well .Her field of expertise also includes Clinical scenario, Organizational, School and Education Psychology. Beatriz is a well rounded profissional and in her treatment modalities she includes everyday objects and art, such as clay sculptures.

Diomar Carvalho - CEO & FOUNDER

Licensed and bachelor’s degree in Language Arts: Portuguese/ English from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas. Portuguese language teacher focused on Writing, Grammar and Literature and Scientific Methodology in private and public schools. Instructor of Portuguese second language in the USA. Master’s degree in Portuguese linguistics at BYU Brigham Young University. Specialist in Portuguese as a second language, ACTFL tester. Personal interests: Diomar loves to read, study, learn new things, travel, and talk. She is very fan of activities with family and friends, but sleeping is her favorite activity.

The OLS (Oak language school) will base the principles suggested by ACTFL guidelines for verifying what the student can do with the language.


The statements are organized according to the Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication as described in the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages:
