About Course

This course is designed for listening people who want to learn the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). It is the official language in Brazil for the hearing impaired. It is a form of communication that takes place through gestures, facial and body expressions. The purpose of Oak language school is to offer a basic course for beginners who show interest in learning how to communicate with their loved ones who are hearing impaired. Learning Libras is fundamental for the development of social and emotional aspects, not only for the hearing impaired, but also for everyone as people who want to be part of an inclusive society, showing the importance of learning for socialization. The main objectives for this course will be:

 Provide course participants the basic learning for introducing and understanding Brazilian sign language: Libras.

 Offer course participants a specific vocabulary and context for a better understanding of the Libras.

 Enable participants to interpret, understand and reproduce sign language.
